A California judge officially suspended Jamie Spears as the conservator overseeing his daughter’s estate last Wednesday. Following the ruling, Britney’s lawyer, Mathew Rosengart, told the press that she was “very happy” with her father’s suspension.

“This is a substantial step toward her freedom. It’s been a lot of hard work. It’s been intense. I’m proud. Britney’s proud,” he said.

The pop star and her fiancé, Sam Asghari, went on a low-key vacation ahead of the hearing to avoid stress, per People. A source told the outlet, “Britney and Sam are currently out of town on vacation. She wanted to take the stress off ahead of today. Of course she’s happy with the result of the hearing.”

She also shared a series of nude self-portraits on Instagram yesterday, from what appeared to be her and Asghari’s tropical vacation. She captioned the cheeky photos, “Playing in the Pacific never hurt anybody 😉💋🙊 !!!! Pssss no photo edits … the tub curves 😂😂😬😬 !!!”
