J. Lo and Ben Affleck are straight back together in person for initially since the holidays —and like their rekindled relationship, the singer’s new look is a blast from the past.
Lopez reunited with Affleck in Los Angeles ahead of schedule after hitting pause on filming in Spain on her upcoming movie, The Mother . On Sunday, she sought out on a casual lunch date with the actor wearing a white knitted turtleneck poncho paired with a soft Valentino Garavani leather bag. Affleck looked classic and suave in a navy shirt and matching dark jeans.

If there is one celebrity who’s remained loyal to the poncho throughout the years, it’s certainly J. Lo. She wore the ’70s wardrobe staple on multiple occasions in 2005, including her Rebirth album launch, as well as rehearsals for the NRJ Music Awards in New York City. She put a polished spin on the look in 2017 while out shopping, wearing a white knitted poncho with her locks pulled back. And for a 2018 appearance on Live with Kelly and Ryan , she graduated to a full-on regal white-and-black cape by Valentino from the brand’s pre-fall 2018 collection.
Due to their busy filming schedules, Lopez and Affleck have gone long-distance for several months. The actor, who stars in the newly released films The Tender Bar and The Last Duel , has as of late been taking care of action-thriller Hypnotic in Austin, Texas. Meanwhile, Lopez has traveled from Vancouver, British Columbia, to Spain’s Gran Canaria to film The Mother , which is set to premiere this year. Lopez stars alongside Joseph Fiennes, Gael García Bernal, and Omari Hardwick in the upcoming film, which focuses on an assassin in hiding who later uncovers herself to protect her daughter, per Variety .
People confirmed January 9 that filming for Mom was halted due to positive coronavirus cases among the film’s production team. In the meantime, but Lopez and Affleck will at least get to bask in extra downtime in L. A. “They are doing really well, ” a People source said in November. “Jennifer loves being with Ben. She feels it’s truly supposed to be. ”
