Emily Ratajkowski Is a Minimalist Monochrome Dream

Emily Ratajkowski is back with another ultra-cool off-duty look.

This week, the model walked her dog, Colombo, on an unseasonably warm day in New York wearing the kind of outfit that minimalists’ dreams are made of. The white ensemble included a crisp linen shirt that she left unbuttoned at the bottom, slouchy cream trousers, and the Aimé Leon Dore x New Balance 550 sneakers in white and light gray. She added a pop of color with a midnight-blue cross-body leather bag and orange tortoiseshell sunglasses.

The monochrome moment came at the end of New York Fashion Week, in which the My Body author walked for Michael Kors’s fall/winter 2022 collection, alongside fellow supermodels Bella and Gigi Hadid. Ahead of the show, she was spotted in a much more colorful look: a yellow-and-black zebra-print jacquard coat from Proenza Schouler. She styled the bold outerwear with a white crop top and distressed baggy jeans, and accessorized with the same dark-blue cross-body, plus a black scarf, gold chain Missoma earrings, black sunglasses, and black sneakers.

Besides NYFW, Ratajkowski has been busy promoting her new memoir, which examines women’s internalization of the male gaze.

“It’s hard to talk about empowerment. That word gets thrown around so much that I feel we lose what it even means in the first place,” EmRata told Esquire in an interview last year. “It was really through writing, through being able to control my story by making and creating something, that I understood the meaning of empowerment.”
