In addition to being allergy-, dermatologist-, and ophthalmologist-tested for sensitive skin and eyes, the lightweight SPF features a sheer, non-greasy formula that blends invisibly, and is also water-resistant for up to 80 minutes. The SPF is also reef-safe, since it’s made without chemicals like octinoxate and oxybenzone, which are reported to negatively impact marine life.
“The goal with our latest launch—over three years in the making—was to create something effective, pleasant, even sensorial that we could all look forward to every single day,” Glow Recipe co-founder Christine Chang shares on Instagram. “Broad-spectrum SPF 50, in a lightweight, silky texture that wears like skincare versus typical suncare, and leaves skin feeling and looking refreshed and glowy afterwards.” Co-founder Sarah Lee adds on her personal account that the brand created over 50 different sunscreen formulations before ultimately landing on this one.
