Victoria Beckham Took Her Son Romeo as Her Date to YSL’s Paris Show

Victoria Beckham and her 19-year-old son, Romeo Beckham, made for a fashionable duo in Paris last night.

The two showed off their personal styles while attending Saint Laurent’s fall/winter 2022 fashion show. Romeo—who is at the height of his modeling career—sported a glittery pink knit sweater with acid-washed jeans and white trainers.

Meanwhile, the fashion designer showed out in a vibrant purple long-sleeved blouse paired with bright-red PVC skinny trousers pulled from her own label. She capped off the look with red pointed-toe shoes.

She posted photos of her outfit and a video from the show on her Instagram Story. “Obsessed!” she wrote of the look from her new collection.

Of all her kids, it’s clear Romeo is the one who got the fashion gene early. When he was just 11, he secured his first campaign for British brand Burberry, and last year, he was one of the faces of YSL’s fall/winter 2021 collection.

“Honoured to be part of @ysl fall winter 21 @anthonyvaccarello @davidsimsofficial,” he captioned an Instagram post featuring one of the campaign photos.

Beckham has previously opened up about raising her four kids—Romeo, Brooklyn, Harper, and Cruz—with husband David Beckham.

“It’s never been an option not to work hard. They see Mummy go to work, they see Daddy go to work, and they go to school and they have to work,” she told The Evening Standard in 2018, per People. But at the same time they’re happy children. I believe that children should be children, and have fun.”

She explained that she and David push their children to succeed only as long as it’s healthy. “I like to push them because I want them to achieve as much as they can, but I don’t want to push them so much that it makes them overly stressed,” she added. “No child wants to do homework. … As parents, we’ve always got to give them a kick up the bum. That’s our job. I’m not saying they love doing it—they don’t—but it’s compulsory.”
