Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are giving friendliness a try, it seems.

The stars—who recently finalized their divorce—were pictured together at son Saint West’s soccer game Sunday. It’s the first time the two have reunited in public since the “Heartless” singer started a social media war against Kardashian’s boyfriend, Pete Davidson.

Kardashian spent most of her time watching her little one play while sitting in a lawn chair. She looked casual in a black Balenciaga hoodie, leggings, and sandals. She finished her incognito look with a pair of dark sunglasses, a slicked-back bun, and seemingly no makeup. West wore a navy hoodie, gray jeans, and black boots. He was seen smiling while filming his son with his phone on the sidelines.

The former couple, who married in May 2014 and split in February 2021, also brought along daughters North and Chicago West, and son Psalm West. Once the game was over, Kardashian and West were seen walking out together—and the SKIMS founder couldn’t have looked less amused.

West seemed to be in high spirits at his son’s match with his ex, despite the fact that he’s been causing shockwaves with his comments about her and Davidson on social media for weeks. Earlier this month, the performer was suspended from Instagram for 24 hours after he insulted Kardashian, Davidson, and Trevor Noah (who condemned West’s public behavior toward Kardashian on his show). A Meta spokesperson told Page Six that the rapper’s posts violated the company’s policies on hate speech and bullying and harassment.

The suspension came after West shared a poem, of sorts, about his difficult divorce from Kardashian. In a since-deleted Instagram post on March 4, the rapper compared divorce to “walking on glass,” getting COVID-19, and being “shot.” He even said, “Divorce feels like your teeth being pulled with pliers.” Dark.

The post came after the Yeezy founder released a disturbing music video to accompany his song “Eazy.” In the clip, a Claymation version of West kidnaps, ties up, and buries a Claymation version of Davidson. At the end of the video, a phrase confirming West was, indeed, referring to Davidson, appears: “Everyone lived happily ever after. Except Skete you know who.” West has deleted that video, too, but, of course, it still lives on all over the web.

The singer received a great deal of backlash over the video, but he defended himself on Instagram, arguing that he has a right to “freedom of speech,” saying, “Art is not a proxy for any ill or harm. Any suggestion otherwise about my art is false and mal intended.”

Davidson has publicly stayed mum about West’s attacks, so fans were shocked when screenshots of a text conversation between the comedian and the rapper were shared—messages in which Davidson sent the singer a photo of himself in Kardashian’s bed.

“Yo it’s Skete. Can you please take a second and calm down. It’s 8am and it don’t gotta be like this. Kim is literally the best mother I’ve ever met. What she does for those kids is amazing and you are so fucking lucky that she’s your kids mom,” Davidson allegedly wrote. “I’ve decided Im not gonna let you treat us this way anymore and I’m done being quiet. Grow the fuck up.”

Kanye allegedly responded, “Oh you using profanity now. Where are you right now?” To which, Davidson replied, “In bed with your wife,” along with his selfie.

Kardashian has mostly taken the high road amid West’s attacks, telling Ellen DeGeneres on her show earlier this month, “[He’s] the father of my kids. I’ll always be protective. I always want my kids to see the best of the best, so I just try to—as hard as it can be sometimes—I do try to ignore it and do whatever’s best for the kids.”

The mom of four also said on the show that she’s found “happiness” with her Saturday Night Live star beau. “It feels good. I think it’s just in life, like no matter what it is, I encourage my friends and the people I love to be happy, and I went for it,” Kardashian said. “I was like, you know what, I’m in my 40s, fuck it—sorry—just go for it. Find your happiness.”

She added, “I went for it. And I took my time and I found it, and it feels so good. And I want to hold onto that forever.”
