The announcement came 13 years after the conservatorship was initially put in place in 2008, and months after Spears gave a personal testimony of her experience under the arrangement throughout the last decade.
The pop star’s fans quickly filled social media marketing with moving and hilarious messages applauding her court win. Spears even posted herself, sharing a video of her fans celebrating outside of the Los Angeles courthouse where the hearing took place.
